Kristina is a fine watercolour artist born and raised in BC. She is inspired by the beauty that surrounds us here on the west coast of Canada. From towering mountains and lush forests to majestic whales and oceans, Kristina's original, one of a kind watercolour paintings will take your breath away!
Born and raised in Victoria, BC, I started to dabble with drawing and painting at a very young age. I have always loved the ocean and gardening. In my late teens, my medium was creating gardens. I owned and operated a gardening business for 10 years until I attended University. While raising a family I began "It's All Mosaic" creating mosaic home décor art and furniture using tile, wood and metal which sold throughout Western Canada and the USA. As I have always loved the ocean and gardening, I created acrylic garden art paintings for the outdoors. This lead me to my other love, the ocean. Using sea glass, shells, sand, rocks, driftwood and beads I have created sea glass art on reclaimed picture frames and windows to create seascape art.
"garden art feeds the soul"
Martin at Seahound Studio is an avid beachcomber and loves everything West Coast. He makes sea glass art and beach themed art with genuine sea glass, driftwood and sea shells found on the beaches of Vancouver Island. The materials have tumbled in the surf for years and years so you can be sure the art is infused with the ocean! Used frames are given a new life by hand-painting them and giving them a distressed look. The unique art pieces can be hung in front of a window as suncatchers to brighten up in the sun. The art is also popular as decoration on bathroom and kitchen walls. New designs are made on an ongoing basis. Come get your vitamin Sea!
